New Year's On the Lake

New Years was pretty chill for us. We didn't stay up much, but enough to see our neighbors setting off some fireworks over the lake.

It was too close to catch much reflection of the water.

Today, we decided finally to try out the lake! The Airbnb host has kayaks we can use along with life jackets. Really, this is a cool Airbnb!

Even though it was chili and the water was much, much colder than just chili, the girls decided to jump in anyway! Eliza got right back out, climbed onto the dock and, shivering, exclaimed "I'm really sad about my choices right now!" LoL! "Love how she's taking responsibility!" was my thought. I told her to take off the life jacket so she could run in and get a towel and warm up if she wanted. She gave me a face like I was wacko and said "but I want to jump back in again!" ....so about that responsibility. All I could do was laugh!

The next pic I took before we got onto the lake. I feel like Noel looks like a grown woman in this picture. Crazy sauce, that. I like watching her enjoy being outside though. She'll be a lovely woman someday.
