The day after arriving is a clean up day for the van. It's also a day to do any laundry catch-up from traveling and finish unpacking and putting things away.

We have a set two week menu and grocery list to go with it. Generally I'll go straight to the grocery store after we arrive while other's unpack. This time, I stayed home and helped unpack last night and we all went to the store together today. We used a divide and conquer strategy, but we had the kids finding the best deals and adding up the totals along the way. I appreciate having the kids know our budget and see how purchasing choices affects it.
We came home to a lovely lake sunset. The sun sets crazy early here right now--around 4:30pm. By 5pm, it's totally dark. Sunrise is around 6-am.
