Thanksgiving Day

Thanksgiving day was all fun and family. The kids spent most of the day and night in the pool. It was a day of play while Dave, Bonnie's brother-in-law, did all the cooking. He has a smoker and was working on the turkey at least one if not two days before. I don't know what he did, but if I had to pick a meal to eat every day of my life... but then the ribs he makes are incredible too so... hmmm. Tough choices. Luckily, I didn't have to choose!

All in all, it was a pretty simple Thanksgiving. Simple and perfect. Oh, and yes, of course, there was Bluebell for dessert. We are in Houston after all!

Note: For those who are concerned about my Ben & Jerry's, worry not. I love ice cream. Ben & Jerry's is, in my view, the best and certainly my favorite. And, I love ice cream and celebrate most any brand. There are no monogamy rules when it comes to ice cream! And thank heaven for that! 😂
