Temple and Home

We finished off our time in Houston with a trip to the Temple. Bonnie, Richard (Bonnie's dad) and I did some sealings.

As members of the Church of Jesus Christ, we believe that marriage need not be only till death do you part, but that it can be for time and all eternity. We also believe that this can only be accomplished if someone with the proper authority, the sealing power once given to Elijah the prophet, seals a couple together.

We do not, however, condemn all those who were not married by this authority to be eternally separated. Rather, we perform this ordinance in behalf of our deceased ancestors who are then free in the next life to accept or reject this offering.

Beautiful grounds surround the temple creating a serene environment for contemplation.

Before leaving, Bonnie and I walked around some trails near Salli's home and chatted. It was lovely. So is she!

Me. Feeling lucky.

A last swim in the pool, then we packed up and went back to New Braunfels and bed. What a great Thanksgiving week!
