Six Flags Fiesta

(Note: Binge blogging. I got a couple weeks behind, but I'll still be writing posts as if I weren't. This was a couple weeks ago on the Monday the 19th.)

Fiesta!!!

Six Flags Fiesta in San Antonio was a blast today!

It was me and the three bigs only.

Noel: "Can I take a picture with Clara?"
Me: "Uuuuh, with who?"
Noel: "Clara!"
Me: "Oh, uh, sure. Oh, the Nutcracker!"
Noel: "Yeah, well, but mostly with Clara."
Me, catching on that the girl's name in the Nutcracker must be Clara.

Looney Toons Christmas show was... meh

Batmobile at Batman the ride. (Notice the absence of lines. Sweet!)

I told each that if they wanted to come, they had to be willing to go on the big rides. Even if they were scared, they still had to do it, no matter, and not put up a big fuss about it. They could talk to me about feeling scared or anything, but they had to be willing, otherwise, they needed to stay home. They all agreed eagerly.

The first ride we went on was Wonder Woman.  It's a monorail coaster and doesn't have side-by-side seats. It's just you in your own car. Eliza sat front, then Noel, then Me, then Amy. It turned out to be one of the better (and thus more intense) roller coasters I've ever ridden! What a blast!

When we got off, I was asking how they all liked it, and Eliza was crying. Poor girl was scared out of her wits! She'd been so excited and wanted to sit in the very front! She was scared of most rides after that, but true to her word, she went on them. She was scared. She cried. She closed her eyes and hid her head on almost all of them. But she did it.

We went on more than just big coasters, though.

Some fund lights and water fountains.

And of course, the Carousel. Because kids like it. :-)

There were few lines, we went on lots of rides, and had a great time! Even though Six Flags was a *GONG* *SHOW* when it came to our pre-purchased meal tickets. I couldn't believe the incompetence of it! We had a huge runaround and finally were able to get our meal-plan wrist bands about two hours before closing time! Thankfully, a supervisor gave us the go-ahead on lunch since they didn't have things set up, but... yeah. Gong show.

Future recommendation--just bring your own food and go back out to your vehicle to eat. It wouldn't take much longer anyway, given food lines.

Oh, and the next day when we asked Eliza her favorite thing in Texas so far? ....Six flags. She was scared of those rides, and a part of her totally loved them!
