Questioning Our Sanity

Today was cold and rainy. It was also the Christmas Festival in Talladega!

There were Christmas movies in the theater, pictures with Anna and Elsa, and lots of outdoor activities and vendor booths. In the cold rain. And that didn't stop us.

Of course we couldn't miss this picture.

Eliza was the most adamant that she wanted to ice skate.

Cold and wet and... who cares! This boy was having a blast!

We all were having fun.

Amy seemed the most oblivious to the wet and cold. Well, not oblivious, but apathetic to it. Cold? Wet? Yeah. Whatever.

I spent a good bit of the ice skating time tying and untying skates and trying to keep shoes dry. I skated a little though. I'm baffled at how they did it -- there was no ice. It was simply a very slick and hard surface. Perhaps in the pictures you can see how they're just interlocking pad pieces. Whatever it was, it worked!

When we left, we were feeling the cold a bit more and went home to hot baths and warm soup!
